The Story

Well the time has come to part ways with my civic. This was a hard decision for me as all my friends can attest having heard me tell them more than a few times that I was going to sell it. I just never could bring myself to do so. A healthy mixture of events and circumstances have lead me to finally do so. Click on the "Read More..." link below for the story of this car.

I've wanted this exact car since I saw a lime green one with a full Bomex kit built by HP motorsports in SuperStreet mag back in 2000. It took me a few years to get one, which was fine because while I was saving money for it, I fell out of my ricer stage before I even got into it.

When I got my first EH2 hatch I was 24 and only had 2 kids, so it wasn't all that bad. It was teal and work progressed slowly. I started with an Apex-i WorldSport 2 exhaust because my OEM exhaust was rusted out and I failed my safety inspection in November of 2005. That next spring I got new Falken Azenis, Rota Circuit 8 wheels and a full Omni Power Sport Coilover kit, front upper adjustable camber plates and rear LCA's. That summer I autocrossed the crap out of my car and took 1st place overall in STS class. I then decided Miller Motorsports Park would be my next target. Little did I know, that it would destroy my engine. As I was being towed from Tooele to Clearfield, I was scheming how to convince my wife that I needed not only a new motor, but a bigger/better/faster motor. A couple months later I was the proud owner of a JDM B18C GSR mated to a JDM B16 LSD Tranny. 1 Autocross later and 2 months of fun in the sun, winter hit and I put my donuts on.

December of 2006, I was rearended by some lady on a cell phone, totaling my car. I bought it back from the insurance company for $600 and bought this current hatch with the remaining money. The two cars sat in my driveway (teal car) and garage (blue car) till the summer of 2007 when it was warm enough to swap the motor and I wasn't in school. Things went smoothly with the swap. No CEL's or mechanical issues.

A couple things were however different in my life. Still married (thankfully) but with 2 more children and a proud owner of a big fat mortgage. I had my dream race car, that only got to do not so dreamy commuting to work. I don't have the time/money to use this car for it's purpose and that's the main reason why I'm selling it. As I mentioned, there are some other factors as well. My wife and I are refinancing our home this August, I'm too old to have a toy as my daily driver and I need to be able to transport at least part of my family from time to time. I'm going to miss this car terribly as we've been through a lot together, and sometime down the road I hope to obtain another EH2 and start the process over again.

The Pitch

Two cars for sale. One fast and light, but short on comforts and one slow and totaled but full of slowness in the form of sound deadening materials, a heating unit, radio equipment and other fancy things. Either a parts car with 7 out of 10 straight body panels and a race car or a really nice car with all parts combined.

This car is a street legal track rat short only a full cage, window nets and fake headlights. The thing is very light weighing in at a scant _____ lbs. Weight is the enemy of speed after all. Here is what makes it so light, no back seats, no rear interior panels, no sound deadening under carpet, no heater, no radio, no airbags, no console parts, no anything but seats, a wheel, a harness bar and a hollow dash.

The second car is my first civic that was totaled after I had swapped my GSR into it. Although, the rear interior is a bit in shambles, it's all complete, I just had to get at the fuel pump to use in my new car. This car has a well kept interior, no rips or stains. It includes both front and rear seats, carpeting and sound deadening materials. It also houses my head unit, 4 Polk Audio 6" speakers and an 8" DUB bass tube. The dash has an LX cluster that has a tach and amber lighting I did myself. The heater from the core to the vents is all intact and in perfect working order. The only thing it's missing is the driver's side seat belt which I installed into my blue car because I didn't feel like commuting every day with a harness on.

The body panels are in great shape except where it was hit, back bumper, tail gate and rear passenger quarter panel. Everything else is straight and free from major dents. Couple rust spots here and there though.

Both cars, one price. I'm asking $7500 for everything I own that fits on a civic, and the two cars. The exact details are listed below.

The Parts

This should be pretty self explanatory, but this is is everything that my car has to offer, whats on the spare car and other parts that are on neither. I'm 99% sure I've got everything, but there is a chance I've numbed my brain sufficiently to forget something.

Suspension/Rolling Stock:
Buddy Club N1 15 way adjustable Coilovers (2 spare struts)
Skunk 2 front upper control arms
Integra GSR front and rear brake conversion
Hawk pads at all 4 corners fed with Earls steel braded brake lines
Integra GSR rear LCA's
_____ tie rod ends
Tenzo front and rear strut tower bars (with fake Progress stickers!)
Unknown Traction Bars
Energy Suspension poly urethane bushings pressed throughout the entire car
15" Rota Circuit 8's in bronze with 205/50/15 Falken Azenis with hardly any tread on em
15" Konig Helium's in black with 205/50/15 _________ All seasons
Skunk 2 lightweight open end lug nuts

---------

---------
Omni Power sport Coilovers
Omni Power front upper control arms
Omni Power rear LCA's
Rolling on stockies with snow tires

Engine/Drive Train:
The motor was sourced from hmotorsonline 1 1/2 years and 1500 miles ago.
JDM GSR (stock internals) mated to a JDM B16 LSD Tranny.
Before the motor was installed, I replaced the timing belt and water pump.
The following new parts were installed as well:
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
Ebay short ram intake
Apex WS2 exhaust
Skunk 2 short shifter
Skunk 2 shift knob
Bosch Platinum 4 spark plugs
Magnecor 8mm spark plug wires
Brand new (not remanufactured) axles
GSR radiator hoses and heater hoses
GSR throttle cable
GSR throttle cable clip
GSR single fan radiator (used)
Rywire subharness added to 1995 DX harness
No CEL's or electrical gremlins

Also have an Apex WS2 exhaust with a test pipe welded in that is included in the deal. I don't use it because I don't like changing exhausts every time I need to pass emissions.

Oil has been changed 4 times at the following times: 1: New oil when I got the thing installed in October of 2006, 2: 1 month and 200 miles later to be safe, 3: 3 months and 100 miles later when it was swapped into current car, and 4: after driving it about 800 miles all summer in 2007. The car was garaged all winter long, but was started and warmed up weekly. I've driven 400 miles since the last change. All changes were done by me using only 5w-30 Mobil 1 full synthetic, and I've only ever put 91 octane Chevron gasoline in it.

Interior:
Gutted hatch from windows down
Lay in carpet
Both windows roll down nicely (yes, that's important)
LX guage cluster with 171,xxx on the odo
Autometer Tach and shift light
Autometer Temp guage
Autometer Oil Pressure guage
MOMO small diameter steering wheel with a swiss flag insignia? (not my idea, lol)

Del Sol Red stripe seats (my favorite part of my interior)
Harness Bar bolting up to the seat belt mounting points
Seat belts (yes it matters)
Gutted dash, no radio, no heater or core
